Caitlin Clark opened Thursday during his exit interview on the litania of lower body injuries which limited the star of Indiana Fever at only 13 games in his second campaign.
Clark, 23, spoke with journalists after the AS of Las Vegas eliminated the fever of the playoffs on Tuesday.
“I worked very hard to resume health and I have the impression, probably, in recent weeks, it’s when I have probably started to feel better,” said Clark via the New York Post.

Clark first injured his left groin and quad. She returned to play after she recovered from these injuries, but suffered an injury to the right groin before the stars break.
In addition to these injuries, Clark said that she had undergone a left ankle bruising while trying to reintegrate in early August.
“My ankle didn’t allow me to really see where my groin was,” said Clark. “I just went somehow to make a movement and, unfortunately, my ankle completely rolled throughout the front and probably one of the worst sprains to which I treated.”

“But I just tried to stay positive (the) better that I can, but I honestly have the impression of being in a very good place. People don’t always do … When you are injured, it’s honestly more work than when you play.”
The fever star said that sitting on the sidelines dealing with injuries taught him a few lessons.
“There were (there were) certainly difficult days,” said Clark. “I think it learned (me) how to be a very good leader, how to be a very good teammate and how to sympathize (with) your teammates in certain situations. When you are in the battle fire, your emotions are high and you feel things differently … When you are on the touch and you do not have a jersey, you can observe and learn people.”
Clark announced in early September that she would not come back for the season because of her injuries. She also does not play in Invert, the 3 × 3 women’s basketball league, this off-season, by sports of the front office.

Insolué enters his second season, and Clark did not play in the first of the league last year, choosing to rest.
Clark collected an average of 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and five rebounds over 31.1 minutes per game in 13 games this season.
The fever, despite not having Clark, Sophie Cunningham and others due to an injury, pushed the AS of match 5 of the semi-finals of the WNBA.
