A crash broke out in a WNBA match on Wednesday evening between Chicago sky and Connecticut Sun, causing several ejections.
The incident occurred with about six minutes to play in the second quarter. Sky Rebecca Allen and Sun Bria Hartley’s striker got tangled by fighting for a rebound. Allen’s teammate Ariel Atkins seemed to run on the other side of the courtyard and precipitated Hartley during the tangle.

The players of the two teams were to be retained while Hartley and Atkins seemed to say things not so bad. Hartley and Allen were ejected for their role in the crashes, and Atkins was thrown to be a “escalator”, according to ESPN.
Sky’s head coach Tyler Marsh deplored that the intensity between the two teams went so far and said that the authorities “neglected” a Hartley elbow in the face of Allen.

“I think things like that tend to happen when there is no control over the game before,” said Marsh. “There is generally an incident that will neglect that leads to something like that.
“(Allen) was clearly sunk in the face right in front of the referee, and that was not called. Then, other things followed. It is unfortunate for us. Two players who play high quality and high value for us.”
Sun players were in animated moments this season – especially against Indiana fever, when Marina Mabrey and Jacy Sheldon were wrapped in Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham in separate incidents this year.
