The Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) also published a statement.

“The WNBPA is aware of the hateful comments reports in yesterday’s match in Indianapolis and supports the WNBA’s current investigation into this issue,” said the union. “Such behavior is unacceptable for our sport.

“As part of the WNBA” No Space for Hate “policy, we trust the League to invest carefully and take fast and appropriate measures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all.”

The WNBA launched its “No Space For Hate” campaign before the 2025 season unravels. The campaign will include the use of AI social media monitoring tools which will help the league apply a revised conduct code.

“As part of the full plan, the WNBA deploys a technological solution powered by AI to monitor social media activity, in partnership with players and teams, to help protect the community against speeches and harassment of online hatred,” he said.

A revised code of conduct of WNBA fans includes regulations for fans on social networks and threats to sanction fans of the official content if they are violated. The new policy lists racist, homophobic, sexist, sexual, threatening or defamatory content as “subject to blocking or deletion”.

“The repeated violations of these guidelines can lead to the fact that the offender is no longer able to follow our news, to comment on our messages or to send us messages,” said policy. “In addition, any direct threat to players, referees or any other league and team staff can be returned to the police and can result in the offender of all the arenas and events of the WNBA.”

The game of fever presented a animated moment between the star of the fever Caitlin Clark and the angel of the sky in the third quarter. Clark has dirty upded, triggering an explosion from the sky forward, but the cooler heads prevailed.
