A woman was killed and three children were injured when a mortar shell hit a house during violent clashes between security forces and terrorists in Tirah area of ​​Baraqambar Khel in Khyber tribal district on Wednesday.

In another incident, a six-year-old girl, daughter of Allah Noor Yargul Khel, lost her life when she was hit by a stray bullet during clashes in the same area.

The incidents triggered widespread protests in Bara and the Peshawar Ring Road, where residents, including MP Iqbal Afridi and other political and social figures, demanded an immediate end to shelling on civilian localities and called for an investigation.

Later, the protest leaders visited the chief minister’s house in Peshawar to hold talks with government officials. According to local sources, security forces launched an operation against terrorists in Baraqambar Khel and imposed curfew in the entire area.

During crossfire, a mortar shell hit Ashna Gul’s house in Ghalba village. His wife was killed instantly and their three children were seriously injured. The house was seriously damaged. Due to the curfew, residents faced extreme difficulties in transporting the injured to medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the decapitated body of an unidentified man was found in Baraqambar Khel, although it remains unclear whether the victim was a terrorist or a civilian, kidnapped and killed by militants.

Ashna Gul’s wife was buried in Baraqambar Khel under tight security. Reports suggest that some members of the security forces were also killed or injured during the clashes. However, no official confirmation was available.

Tension continues to grip the region, with residents expressing deep fear and uncertainty over the escalating violence.
