President Donald Trump said on Thursday that worldwide sites in the United States could be moved if they thought the city was not sure for players and fans.
Trump presented a decrease in crime to Washington, DC, after sending the National Guard and said that he planned to do the same with Chicago and Memphis in the coming days. Neither Washington, Chicago nor Memphis will organize the World Cup.

“We, as you probably know, enter Memphis, and we go to other cities and very soon we are going to Chicago,” Trump told the journalists in the oval office. “It will be sure for the World Cup. If I think it’s not sure, we move into a different city. If I think it’s not sure, we will move it from this city.”
Trump credited the director of the FBI, Kash Patel, for helping to reduce crime to Chicago, but made it plan to move a location if the city was too dangerous.

“If a city, we think we are even a little dangerous for the World Cup or for the Olympic Games. … But for the World Cup in particular, because they play in so many cities, we do not allow it to go. We will move it a little. But I hope it will not happen.”
Los Angeles, Seattle, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Atlanta, Boston, Miami, Philadelphia, Santa Clara, California and East Rutherford, New Jersey, will be the host cities in the United States
The tournament will start on June 11 and will take place until July 19.
