WWE Summerslam Night 1: What to know

Summerslam is expected to take over the New York and New Jersey region on Saturday and Sunday at the first two -night event in the history of the WWE show.

The Premium Live event should take place at the Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford and the first night as a card with three championships to win, a country music star in action and the return to the Roman Reigns ring.

Gunther (C) against cm punk for the world heavyweight championship

CM Punk has proclaimed itself as the “best in the world” with regard to professional struggle. But since his return to WWE, injuries, bad luck and Seth Rollins have prevented her from the ultimate goal from winning the world heavyweight championship. Punk won the title shot after winning a Gauntlet match on “Monday Night Raw”.

Gunther has organized the championship since he won him from Jey USO of the months after his defeat of Wrestlemania 41. He beat Goldberg in their match of the main event on Saturday evening and now has the challenge of facing Punk, who may have been his most formidable opponent for some time.

It will certainly be a battle of Wills when these two enter the ring for the main event.

While nobody has heard of Rollins since he was injured weeks ago against the Knight, you have to ask yourself if it will hide in the background and ensure that Punk does not put their hands on gold.

Tiffany Stratton has resisted each test it has been faced so far. She sent Charlotte Flair to Wrestlemania 41, Nia Jax in a last standing match, then Trish Stratus à Evolution. She was on fire, but she will have her biggest test at Jade Cargill.

Cargill won the Queen of the Ring tournament and chose to compete against Stratton. It will be his first shot on a simple title. Cargill put his quarrel with Naomi behind her, beating her in a match without any grip in evolution.

Stratton and Cargill are two of the best women on the list of women on Smackdown and one or the other performer is more than adapted to keeping the belt at the end of the night.

Randy Orton & Jelly Roll against Drew McIntyre & Logan Paul

Jelly Roll was in the corner of Randy Orton when the “Legend Killer” faced Drew McIntyre during the main event on Saturday evening. He got involved in the match, distracting McIntyre and allowing Orton to capitalize. While Paul set Orton’s beat, Jelly intervened and struck Paul on his back. McIntyre, from nowhere, struck Jelly with a Claymore.

It was the inflection point of a quarrel between the two duos, and he led to a Summerslam match. Jelly Roll even showed that he had a black hole slam in his arsenal. WWE fans, we will see if the Country musical artist could provide a little misfortune to McIntyre and Paul.

Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez (C) against Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss for the WWE women’s team championship

The unusual association of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss struck her general public with the WWE audience. Flair saved the happiness of a spear in evolution, and Bliss saved Flair from an assault by Rodriguez during an episode “Friday Night Smackdown”.

Are they friends? No not yet. But both won a shot on tag titles and could finish with the champions of the Tag team at the end of the night.

But Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez have no interest in abandoning the titles. Rodriguez held the belt with Liv Morgan, but Perez intervened when Morgan fell with an injury. The two defended the titles in evolution and now have a chance to really put their name on the division with a victory over the veterans of Bliss and Flair.

Sami Zayn against Karrion Kross

Karrion Kross has been on the tail of Sami Zayn for months, and the rivalry will have the first night of Summerslam. Zayn was right about Kross the night of the Champions in June, and Kross beaten Zayn a few weeks ago.

Kross told Zayn that he would never be world champion while Zayn had tried to focus on his pursuit of a title and put Kross behind him. So far, in vain, the Beatdowns of Kross have prevented Zayn from participating in the championship glove, which Punk has won.

If Kross wins, Zayn must tell him that he was right. If Zayn wins, Kross will have to say that he was wrong about Zayn.

Roman Reigns & Jey USO against Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed

It’s been a while since Roman Reigns participated in a match. The last time the fans saw him, Paul Heyman gave him a low blow, allowing Rollins to win the triple threat match which included punk at Wrestlemania 41.

Reigns returned to help Jey Uso at Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker Beatdown. He was set up for what will happen to Summerslam – a gigantic Tag team match.

Reed and Breakker had the last laugh of “Monday Night Raw”. Reed put USO for the count, and Breakker launched Reigns through a barricade. Reed therefore stole Reigns shoes.

It will be a total fight when these four are in the ring.
