When Trump returned to office, he named Linda McMahon Secretary of Education. Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s chief content officer, was at the White House when Trump signed an executive order reinstating the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition and the Presidential Fitness Test.
“While I have been concerned about WWE’s close relationship with Donald Trump for several months – especially in light of his administration’s cruel and inhumane treatment of immigrants (and almost anyone who looks like an immigrant) – reading the President’s incredibly cruel comments in the wake of Rob Reiner’s death is the final straw for me,” Foley wrote on Instagram.
Trump’s comments about Rob Reiner drew backlash from Republican Party leaders on Monday.

“I no longer wish to represent a company that coddles a seemingly compassionless man as he moves our country toward autocracy,” Foley continued. “Last night I informed @WWE Talent Relations that I will not be making any appearances for the company while this man remains in office.
“Also, I will not be signing a new contract with Legends when my current contract expires in June. I love WWE, I will always cherish my time with them, and I am deeply grateful for all the opportunities they have given me. But, in the words of Popeye the Sailor, ‘I take as much as I can, and I can’t take any more.'”
PK Press Club Digital has reached out to WWE for comment on Foley’s impending departure.
Foley was a three-time WWE Champion who competed in several promotions and knocked out numerous bosses from a Hell in a Cell cage while competing in brutal hardcore matches.
