Wyndham Clark prohibited Oakmont after damaging the lockers at US Open

Oakmont Country Club confirmed many reports on Wednesday that Wyndham Clark had been prohibited from the property of the golf course.

After missing the cup at the US Open last month, a tournament he won two years ago at Los Angeles Country Club, Clark put his anger on the lockers at the prestigious club.

An alleged photo of the damage made its way around social media, because two lower parts of the lockers were completely ceded.

“Several of you have inquired about the situation involving Wyndham Clark and the measures taken in response to his recent behavior,” wrote the president of the Oakmont Country Club John Lynch in the letter, via ESPN. “After several discussions with the USGA and the USC board of directors, a decision was made so that Mr. Clark is no longer authorized on OCS property.

“This decision will remain in force, unless it is officially reconsidered and approved by the Council.”

Lynch added that the ban could be lifted if Clark had paid damages, had made a “significant contribution” to charitable works and suffered advice.
