As detailed in its very in -depth YouTube explanation (and shared in written form via Eurogamer) Digital Foundry discovered that this visual hiccups occurs on several different titles – including The last of us left 2,, Hogwarts inheritance,, Elden ringAnd Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

We know that stuttering itself is because the games will work in a frequency window of smooth images (say 60 to 70 IPS), then every 8 seconds, Spike at 120 Hz. This is why this tip is happening that we do not know.
With all the signs indicating that Sony technology is the problem, it is hopeful, being repairable with a simple software update in the near future. For the moment, your best immediate solution would be to deactivate the VRR in your system settings and play with a fixed refresh rate.
It is not ideal, but it should stain you until Sony can take out a patch.
