- The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max offer faster loading times
- You will also need a compatible charger to obtain peak speeds
- A single corresponding charger is currently available, on Apple
The Apple iPhone 17 series is now official, but we always learn some of the finest details of these phones and their specifications: and it seems that you will need a specific charger to obtain the fastest load speeds of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max.
As discovered by the Tipster ShrimpapplePro (via 9TO5MAC), the impressive charging times of these two premium handsets – up to 50% of a load in as little as 20 minutes – are in charge to support the USB -PD system (power delivery).
In particular, it uses the USB-PD 3.2 SPR AVS specification, and for the moment the only charger on the market which supports the same standard is the own dynamic power adapter of Apple, launched alongside the iphone 17 phones and $ 39. In addition, Apple only sells it in certain regions, and it is not available in the EU.
Any ordinary USB-C charger will work with the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max of course, but you will not get these super-speed load speeds that Apple has spoken without also having the clean charger of Apple.
Catch -up
A recent news that I discovered completely now, 17 pro and 17 pro max having the last PD3.2 SPR AVS load protocol and currently only Apple sells a load brick with this specification (40W brick which has just been released) capable of invoicing 50% in only 20 minutes pic.twitter.com/1kwk9rioSeptember 13, 2025
It is not known how long it could take third-party accessories manufacturers to eliminate chargers who support USB-PD 3.2 SPR AVS, but the specification is not out. Obviously, the more people get new iPhones, the bigger the update market.
The load speed you will have to support if you do not have the Apple 40W Dynamic Power Adapter will depend on the charger. According to 9TO5mac, with something like the 45W nano change anker, you will get a load of 50% in 30 minutes rather than 20 minutes – so it is not necessarily a huge difference.
We should know much more about the new iPhone 17 series, including charging times, when they have been sent to users. The four models will be available from Friday, September 19 and pre -orders are already open.
In addition to battery charging times, we are also wondering about the battery life on these new handsets, especially on the air of the iPhone Super -Slim – although the boss of Apple Tim Cook has promised a “large” autonomy on the handset.
