Young Sisters of Virginia Figure Skating among the victims killed in a DC plane accident

Alydia and Everly Livingston, known as “ice skating sisters”, were identified as victims From the deadly plane accident to Washington, DC, which cost 67 people’s life when an American Airlines plane collided with an army helicopter on Wednesday evening.

Alydia, eleven years old and Everly, 14, were killed in the accident with their parents, Peter and Donna Livingston.

The girls were members of the Washington Figure Skating Club in DC, which is affiliated with American figure skating.

The club published a joint statement with the Northern Virginia skating club after several of the victims were linked to the clubs.

“This heartbreaking accident shook the local skating community in Virginia, Maryland, in the Columbia district – as well as Boston and across the country. Our hearts go to families, friends and dear beings who cry this unimaginable grief.

In a tribute published on the Facebook page of the skating lesson, Alydia was described as having a “living personality” and a real passion for sport. Her older sister, Everly, would be more “shy”, but it changed when she was on the ice.

Several victims were identified in the days following the accident. The officials say that 14 of the 67 victims belonged to the skating community.
