The Youth Development Association organized a vibrant and spirited Christmas celebration, bringing together slum children, a community school, partner institutions and media representatives to commemorate the true message of Christmas: hope, peace and joy.

The program began with a welcome message and highlighted the importance of Christmas as a time of light, unity and compassion. This was followed by a prayer seeking blessings for peace and harmony.

A biblical reading and reflection from Isaiah was presented, emphasizing the message of light overcoming darkness and the promise of hope for all humanity.

The cultural segment included a series of engaging and heartwarming performances given by the students of St Mary’s Education Centre. A Christmas carol in Urdu was jointly performed by the youth of the Youth Development Association (YDA).

Students from St Mary’s School presented a Christmas carol and tableau, followed by a meaningful Nativity performance by St Paul’s Orthodox Church Sunday School.

The audience was also delighted by a Christmas carol performed with musical instruments by St Mary’s students, as well as another carol and tableau presented by the Sunday school children, showcasing the enthusiasm and talent of the young participants. The celebrations continued with a performance by YDA staff of an English Christmas carol, reflecting teamwork and festive spirit.
