Zach Bryan recounts old memories.
THE Something in the Orange The 29-year-old singer posted several intimate moments from his new life on Instagram with a caption full of love and respect for his mother and his wife, Samantha Leonard.
“I think you would have loved this and her,” Bryan, 29, began the caption.
“We all flew to Spain last week and you would have eaten it. You would have ordered everything twice and made sure your dress was perfect. Everyone I love, you would have done it too. There was lots of champagne and Mac looked beautiful,” Bryan, who released his single. Plane January 8, continued.
The singer added about his wife that her “family is nice and they don’t try to fix me.”
“Dad was doing the splits while smoking a cigar on the dance floor. Rocky Lane was our ring bearer and I know you would love that since you named me after Lane Frost so many years ago,” Bryan noted, connecting moments from his marriage to things he connects to his mother, Lane Frost was a bull rider who died at an event in 1989.
“If you could have seen all the teeth-grinding cheeks smiling under the Spanish moon late in the morning on New Year’s Day. Belly laughing and looking at Samantha in her dress,” Bryan shared in the caption.
“I think of all the moments you often missed but Sam reminds me that you’re half of me anyway. She’s something special and precious. Something you have to keep once she touches your life.
I feel light. I feel like my heart is beating slowly and the days aren’t as hard as they used to be,” Bryan wrote to his late mother, Annette, who died in 2016 at age 49.
He added that he would have liked to “see us smiling like children when we met on that Spanish beach”, before adding that his wife “loves a man that only a mother can”.
“Maybe you’re in that Spanish moon. I’ll see you soon enough, until then I’ll tell him you love him,” the singer concluded the caption, including a nod to her New Year’s wedding to Leonard.
