The Memphis Grizzlies Center, Zach Edey, was said to have been arrested in Indiana for having allegedly accelerated an area of 55 MPH earlier this month.
The 7 -foot 4 -inch basketball player has been accused of reckless driving and will appear in the county of Tippecanoe next week, according to the online archives.
Edey was timed at around 101 MPH on Indiana 25 on May 1, reported the newspaper & Courier, citing a police affidavit.

Edey would have said that he was trying to pass another vehicle, which was his reasoning for speeding.
Edey, which is at 7’4 “, was the ninth choice of the NBA draft last year after winning the Naismith player in his last two seasons as a boilermaker. He has been appointed to the first All-Rookie team, setting up 9.2 points and 8.3 rebounds by competition.

He recently underwent ankle surgery that could cause his disappearance to the start of the 2025-26 season. Edey needed the procedure to repair and restore his ankle after having heard it again during the off -season training last week.
The Grizzlies said that the 7-foot 4 inch Canadian would be evaluated again in four months, which is less than two weeks before the opening of the 2025-26 season.
Edey missed 12 games at the start of the season due to a sprain on the left. He continued to play in 66 games, making 55 departures.
