Zara Larsson has a request for Wikipedia editors: “Cut it out”

Zara Larsson has a clear message for anyone who continues to edit their Wikipedia page: stop touching the photo.

The Swedish pop star took to TikTok on Wednesday, February 18, to publicly plead with online editors to leave out her favorite image after noticing that her Wikipedia photo had once again been replaced with one she doesn’t like.

In the video, Larsson didn’t hold back, jokingly but firmly addressing the mystery editor behind the change.

“Whoever is changing this fucking Wikipedia image to this image… Stop! Stop doing it, stop doing it,” she said.

“I’m so real, stop it.”

In the clip, Larsson is seen browsing the Wikimedia Commons photo library for an image she approves of, wondering aloud why she can’t just prevent certain photos from being used.

After some research, she landed on a behind-the-scenes image taken during her Midnight Sun 2025 tour, making it clear that this is the version she wants to portray her online.

“That’s the one I want, and that’s the one we’re going to change to and keep changing forever,” she said.

Wikipedia pages are publicly editable, although changes usually require approval from site administrators.

Images of well-known figures are frequently updated, often without the subject’s input, which Larsson acknowledged when revealing that she regularly edits her own page to restore the photo she chose.

“I will never stop. I will never stop changing this photo into a beautiful photo, I will never stop,” she added.

The image she is trying to replace was taken at England’s 2024 Isle of Wight Festival, which the singer called particularly unflattering.

Yet Larsson has previously spoken openly about accepting imperfect moments.

In a previous interview, she explained that she often takes photos of herself when she feels less confident.

“I also take a lot of photos of myself in the ugliest moments, because I love to compare,” she said.

“I know I’m going to feel really ugly now, but give me an hour with a makeup brush or 12 hours of a good night’s sleep, I know I’ll feel beautiful again. Maybe not now, but in the future. I don’t know when, but it will happen. Let’s document it.”

But for now, when it comes to Wikipedia, Larsson draws the line. Her request is simple: stick to the beautiful image and, as she said, cut it out.
