Zardari roots for a large national consensus

President Asif Ali Zardari said the country needed political stability and a large national consensus, stressing that all democratic forces must work together to ensure progress and prosperity.

During a meeting with the leader of the senior party Barrister Aamir Hasan in Lahore, President Zardari said that the public service should be maintained at the top, adding that each individual and group will have to play their role to solve public problems.

The president urged young people to move forward for the country’s progress. He called for a uniform strategy to make Pakistan economically dynamic.

Zardari ordered PPP leaders to work hard for the reorganization of the party.

Lawyer Aamir Hasan proposed that competent and ideological workers be appointed to the main organizational positions of the PPP.

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari also held a meeting with the member of the Central Executive Committee of the PPP (CEC), Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed.

They discussed the problems of government workers and employees and exchanged opinions on the increase in the minimum wage of 50% in the upcoming budget.

Chaudhry Manzoor proposed that the minimum wage increased to 50,000 rupees and 100% of Eobi pensions.

Zardari expressed the hope that the government will consider the well-being of workers as an absolute priority in the budget.

He said that the company cannot progress without relieving workers.
