Zoe Ball admits she’s ready for something completely different

Zoe Ball has opened up about her next chapter and it’s clear her emotions are guiding her choices.

The 55-year-old presenter revealed she would love to host Strictly Come Dance if she gets the chance.

After Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly announced their departures last year, fans quickly began to think that Zoe, who hosted the Strictly spin-off It Takes Two until 2021, may be suitable for this role.

However, Zoe admitted she has yet to be approached, but said: “Obviously there’s a part of me that would love to do it. I love this show. It’s so joyful.”

The star added that taking over would be a huge challenge in her career, praising Claudia and Tess for the hard work that live TV requires.

But the presenter made it clear that wasn’t strictly the reason she stepped away from radio.

The loss of her mother in 2024 broke her and forced her to rethink her life.

She wanted to be there for her children Nelly and Woody and balance co-parenting with her ex-husband Fatboy Slim.

“The aftermath was really tough…I just thought, ‘What are you doing, kid? Where are we going with all this?'” she said.

For now, Zoe is taking her time while cherishing family moments and the space of opportunity.
