Michael Irvin, the legendary recipient of Dallas cowboys, spoke of an incident where he was arrested for possession of cocaine in the first years of the team of the 1990s of the team.
During the seventh episode of Netflix documentation “America’s Team: The Gambeler and His Cowboys”, Irvin spoke of the March 1996 incident which saw him arrested and finally tried for the possession of cocaine.

He came only a month after the team won his third Super Bowl in four years, when Irvin had cemented himself as a superstar of the league and future renowned temple.
“I had a routine, after winning the Super Bowl, before the start of the following season, you get about a month, and this month, you got off and you have had a good time,” said Irvin about the incident that occurred just before his birthday on March 5.

The documentary showed that on March 4, 1996, the police found Irvin, his former teammate of Cowboys Alfredo Roberts and two women in a Texas hotel room with drug accessories, sex toys, marijuana and cocaine. A hidden camera video has shown that Airvin discussed cocaine in the passenger seat of the car.
Irvin had to be in prison potentially 20 years in prison. But he finally pleaded undoubtedly to the possession of criminal cocaine in exchange for four years of deferred probation, a fine of $ 10,000 and a rejection of delays in possession of marijuana. He was also suspended the first five games of the 1996 season.
