- Intel would have participated in talks with the White House
- This could see the US government participate in the company
- Intel is the largest semiconductor manufacturer in the United States
The White House confirmed that it is negotiating an agreement which could present a 10% stake in Intel in the United States government.
The flea manufacturer has faced a serious uncertainty in recent months, with several quarters of falling income, but the agreement could imply intel actions for existing government subsidies.
“The president first wants to hand over America’s needs, both from the point of view of national security and the economy,” journalists told the White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. “We should obtain a participation for our money. We will get equity in exchange for this … Instead of simply giving subsidies.”
Trade wars
It is a surprise turn to see President Trump turning away from liberal economic policies of Lassize -Faire who dominated the American economy for decades – everything to support Intel.
Trump had previously called the Intel Lip -Bu Tan CEO to resign – the appellant “ highly conflicting ”, probably because of his passage as CEO of Cadance Design Systems, an organization which recently pleaded guilty to illegally sell the technology controlled by export to organizations with links with the Chinese army.
Intel is perhaps the main hope of the United States to compete with the Chinese and Taiwanese giants-which are almost undoubtedly ahead in the battle of the semiconductor market.
However, Intel’s latest layoffs saw between 15 and 20% of American factory workers have made redundant, indicating that national capacities are not developing as the administration can hope.
The potential agreement could give Intel the stability it needs to invest fully in interior manufacturing, and could see the company build a flagship manufacturing center in Ohio – although the White House has rejected the discussion of potential agreements as “speculation”.
The giant colleagues of the Maimage Nvidia and AMD, recently agreed that 15% of flea sales will now go to the United States government in exchange for export licenses to China – despite increasing national security problems.
