Inspire the steam bridge
Xbox has also announced a “portable compatibility program”, which seems to follow in the footsteps of Valve Steamos and the Verified Deck system. This will help players identify which games are playable or compatible with their Ally Xbox device. It will also appear alongside a feature called “Windows Performance Fit”, which will help “reflect the expected performance on their supported device”.
To ensure a console type pocket experience, Xbox uses an advanced shaders delivery function, designed to preload all play shaders during downloads, to dive directly in games once ready.
These features should arise alongside the “full screen experience” which is supposed to help rationalize the pocket experience on Windows, without unnecessary background process and more RAM for games.
