We have seen the second half of season 4 for less than a year, the 10 episodes to come from season 5 were returned by Lightning Speed (finally, at least according to the history of streaming service). As the creator Darren Star said to them: “This season is a story of two cities: Rome and Paris. Started horseback, Emily puts love and life on the upper level ”, which does not answer any questions that we currently have.

But for fans of comfortable drama on Netflix, there is a problem here that you may not have noticed. It’s great that we get Emily in Paris Season 5 so quickly (not to mention the fact that he drops everything in one time), but that means Virgin river Season 7 will certainly not be published at the same time. Most likely, we are considering a 2026 version for the latter, and it is a much longer expectation that we have had to bear for years.

How can I know? The answer is in Virgin riverhistory. The oldest original series in Netflix has been released in December for two years, which makes the show synonymous with the winter season. With a renewal of the start of season 8 now locked up, we also know that season 7 has finished filming. Logistically, another version of December would have been a Shoo, but Netflix would never publish two of its most efficient dramas in the same time, why compete with yourself if you don’t have to do it?
I think Emily in Paris Season 5 is most likely just just because it was ready earlier. Just like Virgin river Season 8, Emily in Paris Season 5 was renewed before the release of season 4, with Italian promotional plans for the announcement ready to leave when we all discovered it. Since the actors and the team were already there in Italy, I would not be surprised if part of the new season was shot consecutive with the episodes of season 4, to make the best use of time and the budget.
However it happened, it is a huge victory for Emily in Paris fans. I am desperate to make up for the way she settles in her new life in Rome, and I really hope that she will stay with Marcello rather than finishing with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) for the millionth time. I have a horrible feeling that I will not get what I want, but a girl can dream.
