- Google Pixel 2A is the first series A for an active noise cancellation
- Spatial audio, Gemini Live and up to 27 hours of reading
- $ 129.99 / £ 129 / $ 239 at, pre-order now for the launch of October
Google launched the Pixel Buds 2A, the new version of the most affordable Pixel headphones, and it receives the Pixel Buds Pro 2 Some useful free upgrades at the same time.
The new Pixel Buds 2A are the first headphones in series A to obtain the active cancellation of noise, and they have the silent seal of Google 1.5 to help block the unwanted ambient audio. The ANC also has a mode of transparency – and we tried it in our first 2A pixels.
In addition to the ANC, 2A buds also have space sound, and sound quality should be a step compared to the previous pixel buttons thanks to the internal acoustics redesigned around the dynamic driver of 11 mm.
The Bluetooth version is 5.4, and the buds are powered by the Google Tensor A1 chip, allowing you to take advantage of specific pixels features such as Clear Calling, Find Hub and easy multipoint connections to switch between devices.
And as you can imagine, they work with Google Gemini to control your audio and obtain answers to questions – in particular, the last “Live with Gemini” variation for real -time responses.
The battery life is decent seven hours with ANC, going at 20 hours of total reading via the charge case; Turn off the ANC and you can expect at 10 a.m. / 27 hours. The case is classified IPX4 for resistance to dust and water and the buds are IP54. For the first time, the battery in the load case is replaceable, which is a nice touch (although it tends to be the battery of the buds which must be replaced the most).
Pixel Buds 2A cost $ 129.99 / £ 129 / $ 239 in and are available in two colors: Hazel and Iris. You can pre -order them immediately, but they are not to be released before October 9, 2025.
What’s new in the Pixels Pro 2
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 has been there for a while now, but Google gives them a significant upgrade – and there is a new color option, Moonstone, to match the range of Google Pixel 10 phones. All improvements other than the new color will be made to existing users via a free software update.
From September 2025, Pixel Buds Pro 2 will have an adaptive audio, which is Google’s point of view on the cancellation of adaptive noise, the reduction of distractions and the volume of sound around you without completely deleting your awareness of your situation. This comes next to the protection of loud noise, an AirPods Pro 2 functionality of style which can quickly stop the highly unexpected noises.
September, it is also when the Pixel Buds Pro 2 obtain a control of the head gestures so that you can pick up calls and respond to hands -free SMS, and when they get improved audio treatment for the use of Gemini in more noisy environments.
They will also have live with the Gemini support and will now provide useful notifications on the level of your battery on the headphones, so you are never taken short.
