Only a few days after Samsung made its Samsung made its Galaxy Buds 3 Fe manager, inaugurating Google in a new pair of value -and -focused value earphones, and I was able to try them briefly. This is true, the Pixel Buds 2A are officially official with a much more compact transport case and an intra-ear design that resembles the more expensive Pixel Buds 2 Pro.
Google’s 2A Buds 2A pixel are price of $ 129 / £ 129 / $ 239 in and are ready for pre -order at the moment. However, just like the Pixel Watch 4 or Pixel 10 watch, just announced, and even the Pixel Buds 2 Pro in 2024, these headphones will not be shipped before October. More specifically, October 9, 2025 is the real launch of the Pixel Buds 2A and when deliveries should start.
Even with a lot of time waiting, there is a lot to love here, especially taking into account the price you pay.
It starts with the global design. The Pixel Buds 2A take up less space than the original pixels of the headphones and were easy to place in my ears.
I particularly like that the twistable stabilizer has poured pixel buds 2 pro and allows you to lock them in your ear when you are active, or choose a slightly loose adjustment for softer use. There is an ear adjustment test that you can perform in the companion app for Android devices, and Google sends four ear tips in the box.
I did not sleep either on the new Fun New Iris color option (illustrated above). It is more a light lilac in person, but I particularly like the touch of subtle color it provides. The pixel 2A buds also arrive in Hazel, which is a shade of black (illustrated below).
You will also find a “G” for Google engraved on each bud, and this same place has a capacitive touch sensor for controls, such as the music break or the commitment of Google Gemini, although you can also call on AI to help use the sentence, “Hey Google”.
Google also intensifies the battery life here – Pixel Buds 2A should last 10 hours on a full load or up to 27 hours with recharges in the case, although it is with active noise cancellation. With him, you look at the buds seven and at 8 p.m. from the case.
The transport case is smaller and very pleasant, which makes the buds even more tempting to take everything with you. The box recharges via a USB-C port and, like the Watch 4 Pixel, now has a battery that can be replaced, which makes it more useful for long-term use.
Helping in improving the battery life compared to the previous series Google Pixel Buds A is the Google Tensor A1 chip. This should make things a little more effective and accelerate responsiveness, but it also feeds another new feature – active noise cancellation.
Google promises that the ANC on the Pixel Buds 2A is as good as the first generation pro Buds Pixel, and we will have to put this to the test. Without music, however, I was able to hire the ANC on the 2A buds, and that brought a fairly crowded practical space to a whisper.
It put me in the area, to a certain extent, and with a treasure hunt, it should be even more effective, although Google has not allowed us to play music during this early look, which obviously means that we will keep a complete verdict until we can do our full review.
The Pixel Buds 2A will also include a mode of transparency for the moments when you want to let in environmental noise or someone who chats with you.
Although I have not been able to try audio reading on the Pixel Buds 2A, we know that a dynamic 11 mm pilot feeds the experience, and these affordable headphones will offer an equalizer with five bands adjustable via the application. Because when you want to be immersed in the sound, space audio is also supported here, although it only works with certain pixel peripherals (from Pixel 6 and later).
And if you are losing the case, you can see the location on a card, and if the headphones are inside, you can make it scathing to make it play a sound. In this way, the hide-and-seek game will be made a little more quickly.
On paper, the Pixel Buds 2A are preparing like a fairly convincing pair of headphones, but even $ 129 / £ 129 / $ 239, they enter a fairly crowded world of the best headphones, with solid options at the same price and lower.
