Attempted smuggling of deer faes

Rawalpindi:

Punjab Highway Patrol police intercepted a vehicle near the Bewar checkpoint in Kahuta, preventing an attempt to pass two deer faes to the Azad cashmere.

Three men were detained and rescued animals were given to the fauna service.

The check -up team, including Raja Idrees Langrial and other staff members, arrested a car towards Islamabad towards cashmere. During the inspection, two deer faes were found in the vehicle.

Passengers could not produce valid legal documents for their possession or transport, presenting only a few receipts.

Following this, Raja Sagheer Abbasi in charge of the control point called the managers of the department of fauna on the scene.

According to officials, the men had picked up the Gulberg Housing Society faes and were on the road to cashmere without justification. The suspects – identified as Talal, Shahid and Abdul Qayyum – were placed in police custody and sentenced to a fine.

The faes were transferred to the care of the fauna department.

Wildlife officials congratulated the rapid action of the Patrol Police and awarded certificates to the officers involved.
