Apple TV + shocked subscribers today (August 21) with an immediate price increase that will see subscription costs to drop from $ 9.99 to $ 12.99 in the United States.
The 30% increase will be applied immediately to new subscribers, existing more latitude. They will see the price higher within 30 days of their next date of renewal.

Unsurprisingly, subscribers reacted badly to the news and some have already canceled. It makes me worry about the future of Apple TV +, and it is a disappointment after having crowned the service Streaming service of the year in 2024.
With many of the best streaming services offering advertising levels as a cheaper option, I would not be surprised if Apple TV + is forced to follow suit.
According to Variety, “to justify the rise in prices, Apple noted that he had launched a series of television and films programs and that the service does not include any announcement. Currently, Apple TV + seems to have no intention of adding announcements, but other counterpouss can change things in the future.
I really like the shows there, personally, but I’m not sure to keep my subscription if prices continue to go up.
