South Africa has been confirmed as a place for 44 of the 54 ODI games

Johannesburg: South Cricket Africa announced on Thursday a local organizing committee for the Cricket World Cup 5027 50 -Over – and revealed that 44 of the 54 matches will compete eight sites in South Africa.

The 10 remaining games will be played in Zimbabwe and Namibia.

It will be the first male cricket world cup in Africa since the 2003 version was staged in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya.

South Africa has welcomed two female world cuts since then – the 505 competition and the 2005 T20 World Cup and the T20 2023 World Cup, when the Proteas lost against Australia in the final.

The former South African Minister of Finance Trevor Manuel will direct the local organizing committee.

In a statement, CSA said that the matches in South Africa will appear in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, East London and Paarl.

The president of the CSA, Pearl Maphoshe, said: “The vision of the CSA is to stage a global and inspiring event which will reflect the face of South Africa – diversified, inclusive and united.”
