Islamabad:
The PTI political committee decided on Thursday to actively challenge all the next partial elections, resolving not to leave the vacant political arena for rivals, sources said. The main committee of the party met here the secretary general Salman Akram Raja in the president.
It was decided that the PTI would feed the candidates in all the constituencies where the seats fell vacant and that the by -elections would take place. It was also decided that the candidate would be appointed with the consent of the disqualified member.
The meeting, however, experienced strong emerging differences on the appointment of the replacement of Omar Ayub opposition leaders in the National Assembly and Shibli Faraz in the Senate, which had been sentenced by the courts of May 9, 2023 riots.
A message from the founder of the PTI, Imran Khan, sent by Ali Bukhari, said that if Ayub and Faraz guaranteed the courts, they would continue in their positions; Otherwise, Mehmood Achakzai and Senator Azam Swati should be taken into account for the positions of opposition leaders.
