Afridi, Younis joins the flood aid match

Peshawar:

A T20 charity cricket match featuring national cricket players has been planned in Peshawar to raise funds for flood victims. The old stars Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan, as well as other old and current players, should participate in the event.

The product of ticket sales and sponsorships will be handed over to the provincial government for flood help efforts. The match will be played at the Imran Khan Cricket stadium (formerly Arbab Niaz Stadium), Peshawar.

In this regard, a high -level meeting was held to finalize the arrangements, fix the date, examine the security measures and plan ticket sales. The meeting was chaired by the provincial Minister of Sports Syed Fakhar Jehan and assisted by the Director General of Sports Dr. Tashfeen Haider, the deputy commissioner Peshawar Sarmad Surmad Akram, the director general of tourism Sardar Bahadur, the SSP coordination Khanzeb Mohmand, the district sports officer Jamshed Baloch and other officials.

Participants discussed means of ensuring maximum public participation and generating significant funds. It was also decided to invite artists, singers and celebrities to add entertainment value and to attract the public more.

A follow -up meeting will be held in three days to give a final form to the arrangements, all the departments have been fully prepared.
