The role of the media in the fight against the false stories of India was exemplary: DG Ispr

The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), lieutenant-general Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, said that “the state of mind and hostile resources” of India were the cause of terrorist incidents in Pakistan, reaffirming that the country’s armed forces were fully prepared to eliminate all forms of war by proxy.

He made these remarks at a meeting with a delegation from the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Publishers (CPNE) led by President Kazam Khan on Friday. Addressing the delegation, Lieutenant-General Chaudhry said that the Armed Forces of Pakistan, with public support, were fully able to defeat this “proxy war” against the country.

“All acts of terrorism in Pakistan go back to the state of mind and to the negative resources of India,” he said, adding that “the armed forces of Pakistan have a full capacity to crush this war by proxy”.

Commenting on the situation in Balutchistan, the CEO ISPR said that efforts to spread discouragement by negative propaganda would not succeed. “Patriotic and resilient residents of Balutchistan are fully aware of the harmful creations of anti-states and their foreign customers,” he said.

Lieutenant-General Chaudhry also underlined the vital role of young people in the formation of the future of Pakistan, describing them as “a national asset whose optimism reflects the brilliant future of the country”.

He congratulated the Pakistani media for his constructive and responsible role in the event of a national crisis. “During the recent conflict, the Pakistani media have demonstrated professionalism and actually contained Indian propaganda,” he said.

The CPNE delegation, in turn, praised the armed forces for their performance and praised the ISPR for providing credible and timely information during critical moments. “The ISPR played a central role during each phase of the recent conflict, and its response to Indian disinformation was both appropriate and credible,” said CPNE members.

They called for recent events that a “historical success” made possible thanks to the collective and coordinated efforts of the Pakistani nation, government and military institutions.
