Rawalpindi: the chief of staff of the army, Marshal Asim Munnir, stressed the importance of the joint civil-military efforts to meet the challenges encountered by the people, said inter-service public relations (ISPR) on Saturday.
“The Marshal underlined the need for good governance, the development of infrastructure and the importance of inclusive progress and focused on people,” said the army media wing while reflecting on the visit of the army leader aimed at reviewing the security situation, assessing development initiatives and strengthening coordination between military and civil institutions in the province.
The army media wing said that in addition to a complete memory on security dynamics, including the prospect of threats and successful operations against Fitna Al Hindustan, the army chief was also informed of current development projects and efforts to improve socio-economic conditions in southern Balutchistan.
During the interaction with the chief minister of Balutchistan, Sarfraz Bugti and representatives of the civil administration, the Marshal in the field underlined the need for good governance, development of infrastructure and the importance of inclusive progress and focused on people.
Reaffirming unshakable support for all initiatives aimed at improving the socio-economic development of the province, the Coas “have reiterated the determination of the Pakistani army to stand in the shoulder with the people of Balutchistan in their quest for peace, prosperity and sustainable development”.
Meanwhile, during his interaction with the troops, the army chief appreciated their high morale, their operational preparation and his unfailing commitment to protect national sovereignty and congratulated their role in peace and stability in the region in difficult circumstances.
