- The Google Pixel 10 Pro was complicated with a very low GPU score
- He is even beaten here by the Pixel 9 Pro
- It could mean that it is bad for the game, but we would not make too much in a result
Google’s pixel phones have never been the most powerful handsets, their tensor chipsets that are late on rivals in references. But surprisingly, the Google Pixel 10 series could be even more compromised than the Pixel 9 series, at least with regard to the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit).
In an article on X, @lafaiel (via Phone Arena) shared a screenshot from a geekbench list for the Google Pixel 10 Pro, in which the Pixel 10 Pro has obtained a GPU score of only 3,707. Better, it is better here, and by way of comparison, the Pixel 9 Pro score is 9,023, while rivals like rivals S25 Plus and the iPhone 16 Pro reach scores of 26,333 and 33,374 respectively.
Thus, on the basis of this result, the Pixel 10 Pro is far behind, although the fact that it has obtained a score even less than its predecessor is particularly disturbing.
The GPU of Pixel 10 Pro has very low GPU calculation performance. I wonder if this is a problem that can be solved with the pilot updates 🫠pic.twitter.com/qjstcdo6wjAugust 20, 2025
Performance upgrades in other areas
From now on, GPU performance is only part of the power image, and the Pixel 10 Pro should surpass the Pixel 9 Pro on Geekbench overall, with the same source recording a single nucleus score of 2,329 and a multi-core result of 6,358 for the similar SPEC. Pixel 9 Pro XL.
But such a low GPU score means that Google Pixel 10 Pro could still fight with demanding games.
Google claims that the Pixel 10 series will feel faster in using everyday use and will work better for AI tasks, and that’s probably true, so if you don’t care about games, that shouldn’t affect you a lot. But if you are a big mobile player, you may want to think twice before buying the Pixel 10 Pro model – or any Pixel 10 model, because they all use the same Tensor G5 chipset, it will probably all have similar GPU performance.
That said, although it looks like a legitimate geekbench screenshot, it is still only a result, so it is possible that it turns out to be an aberrant value. Google may also be able to improve the performance of the Pixel 10 Pro GPU thanks to a software update.
So there is still hope that it would not disappoint as much as this score suggests.
