Islamabad:
The chief of staff of the army (COAS), Marshal Syed Asim Munir, visited Turbat to examine the security situation, assess development projects and strengthen the civil-military coordination for the stability and prosperity of Balutchistan, said the media wing on Saturday.
According to inter-service public relations (ISPR), the COAS was received by the commander of the Balutchistan Corps LT Gen Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan. He was also followed by the chief minister of Balutchistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti and the chief secretary of Balutchistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan.
During the visit, the COAS received a complete briefing on the region’s security dynamics, including the prospect of the threat, successful operations against Fitna al-Hindustan, current development projects and efforts to improve socio-economic conditions in southern Balutchistan.

While interacting with CM and civil administration representatives, Marshal Munnir highlighted the importance of good governance, infrastructure development and inclusive progress on people.
He highlighted the role of civil-joint civil-military efforts in the use of the challenges of the people of Balutchistan has been confronted and reaffirmed the unwavering support of the army to initiatives aimed at socio-economic development in southern Balutchistan.
Coas reiterated that the Pakistani army would continue to stay on the shoulder with the people of Balutchistan in their quest for peace, prosperity and sustainable development.
During his interaction with the troops, he appreciated their high morale, their operational preparation and their firm commitment to protect national sovereignty, congratulating their role in maintaining peace and stability in difficult circumstances.
