Karachi:
Friday, the protesting doctors of the Abbasi Shaheed hospital gave the KMC a three-day ultimatum to release their contributions or face a sit-in outside its building.
Doctors protest against the non-payment of wages to home agents and third cycle trainees since Friday. On the second day of their protest, dozens of home and third cycle officers boycotted OPDs.
The third cycle had not been paid for last month, while the officers of the house had gone without salary for three months. The president of the Young Doctors Association (YDA) said that officers of the house newly appointed to the hospital are delays that can go up to six months each year in the reception of their wages.
