Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif invited three heroes of Gilgit Baltistan who had saved around 300 lives by providing timely information on the impacts of glacial bursting or overflowing of the glacial lake (GLOF) in the Ghizer district.
“Wasiyat Khan, Ansar and Muhammad Khan were invited to Islamabad on the Prime Minister’s directive,” said PM Office Wing in a statement on Sunday.
The Prime Minister would present special prizes to these three personalities in recognition of their role to transmit previous information on the GLOF in the Ghizer district, thus saving hundreds of lives of residents.
