Asim Jahangir, a suspect known for having caused fear and terror in the federal capital, was seriously injured on Monday after his own men shot him on a police operation, officials said.
A raid team of the Shalimar police station escaled Asim for the identification and apprehension of its partners. While the team reached the green zone, Asim’s men opened fire on the convoy.
Asim is at the hospital in critical condition, said police sources, adding that the police van had been damaged, but no one else was injured. Four teams are looking for the attackers.

Dig Muhammad Jawad Tariq confirmed that Asim was wanted in 19 cases.
According to a higher federal police officer who spoke to Express the news, On the night of August 13 and 14, Asim Jahangir took a police team hostage during a raid in the E-11 sector of Islamabad and killed Asi Khushaal, the Shalimar police station.
