The chief minister of Balutchistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, chaired on Monday an advisory meeting to examine the preparations for the next Prize of the National Finance Commission (NFC), emphasizing equity, inclusiveness and consensus in the process.
Provincial Minister for Finance Mir Shoaib Nostlewani informed the province’s financial situation session and urgent priorities. The chief minister said that consultations would take place with all political parties and experts in matters, including those outside the parliament, to build a unified position for Balutchistan.
BUGTI said that the NFC price must recognize the unique challenges of the province and ensure transparent distribution of resources. He described the price as an opportunity to strengthen federal harmony and to promote national solidarity.
“The aspirations of the inhabitants of Balutchistan must be reflected in the price,” he noted, adding that the contribution of economists and intellectuals would also guide the case of the province.
The chief minister expressed hope that a good share of resources would accelerate development and prosperity through Balutchistan. He concluded that the real success of all stakeholders was a stronger federation and that the NFC Prize should become a means of national confidence and unity.
