Tampa Bay Buccaneers would have given up the defensive platform Desmond Watson, who was the heaviest NFL player and would have lacked training time with weight problems.
The Buccaneers were to make the move official before the deadline for reducing the list of 16 hours, he said on several reports.

Watson played university football in Florida and was not drafted in the spring. He joined the Buccaneers as an un residued free agent. It was listed at 464 pounds during the school professional day in April and lost 25 to 30 pounds before the draft.
However, he did not see the time of practice because he has not lost enough weight. He spent a training camp on the list of non-football injuries.
“He is still working. Job is not finished,” Watson, Ej Gonzalez, told the Associated Press.

Watson spoke of his weight gain for journalists. He said he would stop constantly to gain food in Florida.
“Stop driving by driving,” said Watson when he asked the bad habits he tried to lose his professional day. “My greatest thing is to continue, to happen where I have to get. There are stores and many temptations. It helped me a lot.

“Do not go inside the service station. Pay at the pump. Because inside, they are snacks and all types of things like that. Do not stop. If you are on the highway, stay on the highway until you arrive where you have to go.”
