- The next Nintendo Direct Showcase would be broadcast on September 12
- The presentation would be broadcast one day before Super Mario Bros.’40th anniversary, an ideal moment to announce a new game
- The release date of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond could also be announced
A direct showcase of Nintendo should be broadcast next month.
It is according to several anonymous sources that told VGC that the next presentation of Nintendo was scheduled for mid-September, especially on September 12, although the details of what to expect are always under the Wraps.
A creator of Nintendo content, “Smorlforce”, also shared an article on X / Twitter, suggesting that a direct will be broadcast on the same date, writing: “Nintendo tried to call in an emergency on the missing games 2 games, but they accidentally composed 912.
It would not be unusual for a new direct to be held next month since, apart from 2024, one has taken place each year since the start of Nintendo presentations.
This showcase in mid-September would also come just in time to Super Mario Bros.“40th anniversary, which is September 13.
The fact that a directly takes place so close to Mario’s birthday would be the perfect opportunity for Nintendo to announce the next Super Mario Bros. Game for Switch 2, or even a potential remake of an anterior entry into the series.
There is also the question of other major switching games which must receive release dates, namely Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. The game was announced in 2017, but was then restarted as a new project in 2019 under Retro Studios.
The last time we saw the game took place in June 2024, with a gameplay trailer and a confirmation of a launch window in 2025 for Nintendo Switch. Hoping that the reducing rumor will offer a firm release date and perhaps even an advertisement of a Switch 2 version.
