The saints selected Shough with their choice of second round (n ° 40 in total) of Louisville in April. He became the most written quarter of the team since Archie Manning was taken No. 2 in total in 1971.
Shough, 25, finished 36 of the 54 assists for 333 yards with a touchdown and an interception in three pre-season games. He also ran for a touch on three races for 23 yards.
Shough played seven years of university football. He spent his first three seasons in Oregon before spending at Texas Tech for three years. He ended his career in Louisville, where he completed 62.7% of his passes for 3 195 yards, 23 affected and six interceptions.

Shough has treated many injuries throughout his career, playing more eight games in a season only once – last year in Louisville.
The saints went 5-12 last season, and Moore hopes that Rattler will be able to bring them back to the playoffs for the first time since 2021.
