Wana:
Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) High leader MUFTI KIFAYATULLAH demanded the application of sharia in the merged districts and ordered his disciples to refer to the Taliban killed in their fight against the army as “Shaheed”.
While addressing a rally of religious personalities and the public to Madrassa Jamia Tehsil Koran in Tehsil Shakai, Kifayatullah said that the Taliban or the militants would lay down arms and become a state militia if sharia was imposed in the fused districts.
“The Taliban have made huge sacrifices for Islam and Islamic values. If the government could tolerate FCR in the districts merged for seven decades, why cannot change the Constitution and announce Sharia law in these districts?” Kifayatullah added.
He assured the government that they would force the Taliban not to put pressure for the application of Sharia law across the country – in Khyber -Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit -Baltistan, Punjab, Sindh or Baloutchistan – because they knew that the establishment would not tolerate such a request.
“We no longer want blood shattering, not a single shot, and we demand that our generals announce Sharia law in merged districts,” said Kifayatullah.
“The Pakistani security forces are Muslim, and we have no quarrel with them. But we are not satisfied with the policies of the generals who have brought troubles to the country,” he added.
