Willson Contreras receives a six -game ban after the confrontation during the match against the pirates

St. Louis Cardinals Star Willson Contreras was a ban on six games one day after being involved in a tense exchange during a match for Pittsburgh Pirates.

The MLB has also given a fine to three times All-Star. The amount of the fine has not been disclosed. Contreras informed the league that he intended to appeal the suspension. The decision to appeal allowed Contreras to play in Tuesday evening’s match against the pirates.

During the Monday competition, Contreras launched a bat that was mistakenly struck the cardinals hitting Brant Brown coach.

The cardinals’ interior field player threw chewing gum on the field after being ejected.

Manager Oliver Marmol was also thrown from the game during an animated argument with the referees after a third strike called in seventh round.

Contreras expressed his confusion as to the decision to withdraw him from the game. He said that he had made bullets and strikes with the plaque referee Derek Thomas, but did not address specific land and said nothing disrespectful.

“Apparently, he heard something (he thought) that I said. I didn’t say that,” said Contreras.

The head of the crew, Jordan Baker, told a pool journalist that Contreras and Marmol had been ejected to “say vulgar stuff” to Thomas. Baker also said that Contreras was in contact with the plaque referee.

After Monday’s victory, Marmol agreed with his player.

“We will have to dive into it to ensure what Willson says is what happened,” he said at the time. “But I believe it.”

Contreras finished in double game during its first appearance of a plaque on Tuesday, and was struck by land during its second at-bat.
