Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced a 25% discount on tickets for passengers traveling from Paris to Pakistan, with reservations open until August 31, 2025, to travel between August 25 and September 28.
The discount also applies to the connection of routes with Air France across Europe and the United Kingdom.
The airline has confirmed that it interrupts its service at Lahore – Paris due to a low request, the final flights scheduled for September 12 and 17.
The Islamabad – Paris route will remain active.
Earlier, PIA launched direct flights from Lahore to Bakou, Azerbaijan, as part of its efforts to extend international routes and promote tourism.
The PK-159 flight started from Lahore with 152 passengers on board. A brief ceremony took place at the airport, assisted by the Minister of Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif, the Azerbaijan ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov and senior aviation officials.
Asif said that the road was part of PIA’s strategy to expand its network and strengthen links with Azerbaijan, noting that the airline had recovered under reforms initiated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Earlier this month, PIA declared its first annual benefit in 21 years, recording a profit per share of RS5.01 for 2023, according to audited financial statements.
