- Users will no longer need to apply Windows updates after the first signature
- By updating during the OOBE, PCs are protected from the first day
- The change applies to Microsoft entered joins and hybrid joint devices
From September 2025, Windows 11 aircraft (10:2 p.m. or later) will be able to install quality updates during the out -of -box (OOBE) experience by default, which means that it is ready to become even easier for administrators to install updates during the configuration.
The modification applies to Microsoft’s devices entered Reach and Entro Hybrid.
For IT administrators, they will now see Windows check and install applicable updates on the final OOBE page so that users will not need to apply updates when they are connected for the first time.
Windows updates smoother for all
“With the Windows and Microsoft Intune automatic driver (or alternative management solutions), you can maintain transparent control over quality update behavior during supply, while guaranteeing alignment on organizational security and compliance requirements,” wrote Victoria Wang, Microsoft product director, in a blog article,
The system requires that the devices run Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise, Education or SE, and companies must use Microsoft Intune to manage Windows quality updates.
The Oobe update experience is also only available for those who had the August 2025 Oobe Zero-Day or those imagined with the Windows non-security update of June 2025.
Since the devices will be given to workers with the latest security and quality updates, companies can improve safety and compliance from the first day. It also reduces the burden of workers and IT teams after the device document.
This marks a welcome change compared to the previous configuration, which allowed end users to update their computers after receiving them.
The improvement comes as more companies are updated to Windows 11 before the end of Windows 10 assistance from the assistance in October 2025.
