The latest foldable in honor book style, The Magic V5, finally landed in the United Kingdom and Europe after its beginnings in China earlier this year.
It arrives just a few weeks after the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and a month before the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which should start to ship on October 9.
But how is the last foldable flagship product of Honor compared? We are currently putting the Magic V5 to the test – Stay attentive for our full exam in the coming weeks – but below, we detailed the price of the new phone and the specifications on paper against two of the best foldable phones of 2025.
The Honor Magic V5 with 512 GB and 12 GB of RAM begins at £ 1,699.99, undercoigning the Pixel 10 Pro Fold of £ 50 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 by a £ 100 milk. You will also get twice as much storage for this price, although the Google phone offers larger 16 GB RAM capacity as standard.
To watch
Regarding design, Honor says that the White Ivory version of Magic V5 is the “thinnest foldable phone” on the market, but our own tests have proven that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is, in fact, the most thin book foldable in any orientation. However, at 4.2 mm when it is open and 9.39 mm when closed, Honor’s Magic V5 is still improbable thin, and the difference in thickness between it and the Samsung is difficult to discern with the naked eye.
The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, meanwhile, is visibly thicker than honor and Samsung, but it does better competition with a resistance to water and unique dust; The Magic V5 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 obtain IP58 and IP48 respectively.
Here is how the three phones compare themselves on the front of specifications:

At a glance, the Honor Magic V5 has ultra-large, telephotal and front sensors larger than the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, while its 5820 mAh battery of the silicon silicon silicon battery could also offer a higher battery life.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset of the phone also promises equal performance by Galaxy, although we have to perform our own internal tests to confirm if this is the case.
Nevertheless, we have gone a long way compared to the time of the Flexpai Royole and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Original. The last honor, Samsung and Google Foldable are powerful, durable and versatile devices that compete with the best phones on the market, and it is unlikely that you are disappointed by one of them.
