Age seems to have reached Deontay Wilder – but don’t tell him.
The 39-year-old boxer went 42-0-1 in his first 43 fights, retaining his heavyweight title 10 times, but he has since lost four of his last six.
Despite his recent slippage, Wilder still thinks he is “10 years old on the left” in the game, and his eyes have on someone specific.

Rumors and speculations have constantly swirled that Wilder would eventually enter the ring with Jake Paul, and he could make a reality.
“It dwells, the discussions, we have not obtained anything on the desk or something like that. They are only rumors at the time of time, but if this fell on the desk, I am definitely broken down,” Wilder said PK Press Club Digital in a recent interview. “If it has met, I would certainly accept it. I know that many fans would like to see it.”
Paul’s only Healthy Truck Combat was last year against Mike Tyson, which took place at the AT&T stadium, the Dallas Cowboys house. When asked where Wilder would like to fight Jake Paul, he suggested Hawaii, and he wants the help of one of the best sports companies.
“We may have to put ourselves on the spot to acquire all the experience of what a punch feels!” Said Wilder.
Wilder recently teamed up on site, because he will be one of the VIP experiences for Crawford’s fight by Canelo Alvarez Terrance in Las Vegas next month.

“Dude, I can’t wait to participate in the festivities, then be able to take place in one of my fights. This Crawford-Canelo fight in Vegas, guy, it’s going to be a major show. It will be crazy,” he said.
“And the official experience provider of this fight is on site, which is the best way to discover everything, Bro. They bring you closer more than ever to the action, inside and outside the ring. And I let people know that I will also be there.
Wilder’s latest fight returned in June – one day before Paul’s last fight (they both won). Whenever his next fight is, he will have been looking for consecutive victories for the first time since 2019. At first, he entered boxing because he had to pay medical bills for his daughter, who was born with Spina Bifida.
“Dad was not going to drop her because he promised him that he was not,” said Wilder.
But now he wants to be “selfish” and fight for himself.
“I have been dealing with people since the age of 12. I have never been single in my adult life. So, in my life, I have always taken care of people. Always and I am still doing to this day! But at that time, I am selfish,” said Wilder. “I have been an altruistic for a very long time. You know, many people have appreciated it, and many people have not done so. But at the end of the day, we get tired of being sure of so many people. To believe.
“So I gave and gave and gave and gave and gave, and at this stage of my life, the second chapter came, the oldest Wilder, you know, I am selfish. I deserve to be selfish at that time, because I spared my youth to be disinterested since the age of 12 and over, I am about to be 40 years old, and now I have to be selfish.

Paul should currently fight Gervonta “tank” Davis on November 14, 364 days after his fight with Tyson, in an exhibition. Paul is about 60 pounds more than Davis, with six weight classes separating the two from each of their last fights.
