Earl Charles Spencer discreetly marked the birthday of Princess Diana’s death as he dropped a sincere tribute to her deceased sister on Instagram.
Under his emotional article featuring “Beautiful Flowers, Left yesterday by Althorp visitors”, the fans and followers of the former princess of Wales also shared sincere memories and tributes.
Many commentators have congratulated Diana as “the princess of the people” and expressed how much she still lacks.
“Beautiful flowers, left yesterday by Althorp visitors,” he wrote. “We are open for July and August each year, by an arrangement reached by the British government in 1992.”
“Strange to think that this summer season is reserved for July 1 – Diana’s birthday – and August 31 – on the day of her death,” he added.
“My deepest thanks go to the @althorphouse team, which was really exceptional again this summer – treating visitors as well as honored guests from my family. Sarah P led them with a quiet charm and an excellent natural feeling for what matters.
A fan wrote: “She will live in our hearts forever.”
Another added: “Diana will never be forgotten. She was really the princess of the people. I cannot imagine how difficult this day is for you and her beloved boys.”
Previously, speaking about Good Morning Britain last year, Charles spoke of facing the tragic death of Diana.
“I am sure that almost everyone looking at this program had trauma in their family at some point,” he said. “And, like everyone else, you get used to it without ever disappearing.”
