It is the day when players around the world expect years: Hollow knight: Silksong is official set to be launched at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. and / 15h BST / 10H CEST.
As with any version of Big Game, players are impatient to preload the title so that they can dive into the second where it becomes available without the need to wait for a potentially long download.
Although there is currently no easy way to do it on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox owners can get Hollow knight: Silksong Preloaded with this little tip.

All you need is your Xbox console (be that Xbox One, Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S), a mobile phone with the installed Xbox application and an active Xbox game subscription.
Just open, log in if you need it, then head to the Xbox Game Pass tab. Scroll down until you see the “Come to Game Pass” section and find Hollow knight: Silksong in the list.
Press your icon, then press the button to install it on your console. If you have not yet linked your Xbox console and your application, you will do it at this stage, then follow the instructions on the screen.

I personally tested the method and I can confirm that it works for me here in the United Kingdom using my Android phone, although it does not seem to be an intentional decision in the part of the Cherry developer team, your mileage can vary.
Also keep in mind that this will not allow you to play the game early. You will always have to wait for the official release time.
