Peacemaker Fans are convinced that his last episode drops the biggest index that there is real in a new major theory on the second season of the television show in the DC universe (DCU).
Complete spoilers immediately follow for Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 3. Return now if you haven’t looked at it yet.
The third chapter of this season, entitled “ Another Rick Up My Sheneve ”, sees the anti -hero eponymous, the real name Chris Smith, actively explores the parallel world – nicknamed Earth -2 by the distribution and the team of the show – he discovered for the first time in Peacemaker First in season 2.
On the surface, there is much to love in the alternative universe that he describes twice as being the “best dimension of all time”. His father and brother are not only alive in this reality, but also in a famous superhero group (alongside the peacemaker of this world) called the top trio. A more emotionally available version of Emilia Harcourt also exists in this dimension. Oh, and the peacemaker who was part of this universe – you know, before the Smith of the DCU accidentally kills it – has an incredibly cool and armed two -wheeler called the peace cycle.
Since Smith came across this parallel dimension in episode 1 of season 2, however, fans have suspected that something is wrong with apparently idyllic land. And, thanks to the introduction of a group known as Sons of Liberty in episode 3, many are more convinced than ever than their wild theory of fans on Earth-2 will prove to be correct.
So what is their hypothesis? This Terre-2 is a stand-in for Earth-X. In DC Comics, Earth-X is a parallel land, which existed before the 1985/86 comic book series, which essentially restarted DC Comic Book Universe, where Nazi Germany won the Second World War.
There is evidence to suggest that Earth-2 is also reimagination by Earth-X DCU-the main proof being that all those that exist in this parallel dimension are white. You don’t believe me? Go back and watch “ another rick in my sleeve ” and see if you can spot a character – main, background or other – who is black, Asian or member of another ethnic minority breed.
I am not the only one to have noticed the absence of people of ethnically diverse horizons. Just look at the threads that have emerged on the DC Cinematic and DCLEAKS Reddit Pages, as well as on Resetera, who are full of fans saying so much.
“Okay, but what has it to do with the sons of freedom?” I hear you ask.
For the uninitiated: in DC Comics, the sounds of Liberty are an ultra-nationalist paramilitary organization that encourages hatred and intolerance. In simple terms, it is fascists who use violence.
Initially in “ another rick up my Sheve ”, it seems that the sons of freedom have been adapted as authentically as possible during Peacemaker Season 2. Indeed, halfway through episode 3, they put a mission to infiltrate a building in the center of Evergreen, take people hostage to said building and have set up a bomb in order to cause as much death and destruction as possible. Unfortunately for them, the Smith of the DCU kills them all, defuses the explosive and dates back to the adulation of the assembled crowd.
The theory of Fans of Terre-2 returns the script on the sounds of Liberty being the bad guys. If Terre-2 East The television series of the chapter DCU One ‘Take on Earth-X, which would position them as combatants of altruistic freedom who fight for a better and more diverse world. I can already see the look on the face of the DCU Smith if (and potentially when) he learns that Earth -2 houses a supremacist human race with white predominance – Remember, his father had similar opinions in the DCU before his death, so that would not be good with the Smith that we know – at some point in the second season of the HBO Max Show.
As with any fans theory, it is possible that many of us bother the bad tree. But, with the co-chief of DCU, James Gunn, suggesting that there are a lot of surprises to come in season 2, in particular his last three episodes, I would not be shocked if it was revealed that Earth-2 is Earth-X in everything except.
