- The Swann Maxranger4K Mini is a new entry -level home security system
- He records at 4K, with an infrared night vision and two light projectors
- Its software identifies people and other subjects to avoid false alerts
Swann, the company behind some of the best home security cameras that we have tested here in Techradar, launched a new smaller version of its excellent Maxranger4K cam, with a more respectful price of wallets.
We have given four SWANN Maxrant4K SOLAR SOLAR Stars in full size when we revised it earlier this year thanks to its super-deferred images, its robust construction and its integrated storage, which means that it is not necessary to pay monthly subscription fees if you want to save and check your video clips.
The new Maxranger4K long -range wireless security system offers almost all the same features as its big brother, with the exception of the solar panel mounted on the top. The mini-size size camera can always be used entirely wirelessly with the solar load, but you will have to mount a small solar panel next door.
This more compact camera will be an excellent option if you like the idea of Maxranger4K, but its heavy design could be exaggerated for your home, and its price (from $ 399.99 / £ 499.99.949.95 $ for two cameras and a hub, and $ 129.99 / £ 199.99 / at $ 39999).
The new system is easier on the portfolio, with configurations with two cameras costing £ 299.99 (around $ 400 /600 $ in) and systems with four cameras at a price of £ 449.99 (around $ 550 / $ 800 in). It is certainly not cheap, but it is much more affordable than the full -size system, and you get much more than you would do with most entry -level home safety configurations.
Small but sharp
Like the largest camera, the mini version records at 4K, with the possibility of zooming on points of interest (most outdoor home cameras are up 2k, or even 1080p). Camera software can detect heat and movement, and identify people and vehicles to prevent false alerts and provide you with detailed notifications.
The CAM can store up to three months of safety sequences on a 32 GB SD card, and you can position it far from your router thanks to the Wi-Fi Halow range of Swann.
After the night, the infrared night vision offers visibility up to 20 meters, and the activation of the two light projectors gives you color recordings with a range up to 15 meters.
