Fazl says KP Govt has become “meaningful”

Dera Ismail Khan:

The head of Jui-F Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), not only is there a governance crisis, but the very existence of the provincial government has become “meaningless”.

Addressing journalists from Dera Ismail Khan on Friday, Fazl accused the government of abandoning citizens at the mercy of the circumstances. “The government has left people to the whim of fate, but we cannot leave the public alone,” he said.

Recalling the difficulties that the inhabitants of KP were confronted, the head of the Jui said that the residents had carried “unbearable charges” in the pursuit of peace and cooperation with state institutions. From Bajaur south of Waziristan, millions were forced to leave their homes and businesses, while thousands of families were moved to the cities of Peshawar in Karachi.

However, despite these “timeless sacrifices”, peace has remained elusive in the province. Fazl accused that the State has failed in its fundamental responsibility to protect the life, property and honor of its citizens.

“It is tragic that the state has the capacity to provide security, but rather chooses to ignore the survival of citizens, while pursuing its own objectives. This approach does not even serve the interests of the country,” he warned.

Answering a question, Fazl said her party did not recommend resistance against public institutions. Rather, he said that Jeu criticized their political role and certain policies that directly affect politicians and ordinary citizens.

“We want the public to respect the defense institutions and love them. But unfortunately, the opposite happens. The institutions quickly lose public support-and that will be disastrous for the country and all of us,” he warned.
